In 2024, the "Rencontres Internationales en Urbanisme" (RIU) of APERAU (Association pour la Promotion de l'Enseignement et de la Recherche en Aménagement et Urbanisme) will be held under the aegis of APERAU's Bureau Amériques, which brings together the three French-speaking schools and university departments in Quebec recognized by APERAU. Following on from the RIU in Bordeaux (2022) and Lausanne (2023), those to be held in Quebec in 2024 will focus more particularly, but not exclusively, on the social dimension of the ecological transition. Thus, the question chosen to preside over the debates will be formulated as follows: "Cities and territories facing the climate emergency. What socio-ecological transition?"
